Watercolour Painter

Doug Hook was a Northern Ontario artist who lived on St. Joseph Island, near Sault Ste. Marie. He began painting at the age of five and went on to study under renowned watercolourist John Joy and Zoltan Szabo. 
Doug had paintings in corporate and private collections throughout the world, including collections of William Davis, David Peterson and the late Pierre Trudeau. Among his many accomplishments, he had the honour of a private audience with his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and presented him with one of his paintings, which became part of the permanent collection of the Prince.

Doug passed away in April of 2021. He was an wonderful artist and friend who is greatly missed.
